Steve McShane is a mission driven results leader with diverse experience including leadership roles in non-profit, business and government. Steve currently serves as Director of Development and Community Relations for The Bridge Restoration Ministry, a residential substance abuse recovery program. Steve is four term City Councilman for the City of Salinas (2010 - 2024) and former President and CEO of the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce. He spent 15 years as owner and general manager of McShane's Nursery & Landscape Supply and 7 years as a consultant / owner of an organic fertilizer company in Gonzales, California. During his time on City Council he served as chair of several regional boards including Central Coast Community Energy, the Monterey Bay Air Resources District, the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments and the California Vanpool Authority (Calvans). Steve has served in various City, County and State appointed and elected roles for nearly thirty years including four years on the Hartnell College Board of Trustees. Steve's faith is important as he holds leadership roles with Compass Church of Monterey County and Worklight Ministries. Steve hold a Masters in Agribusiness Administration from Santa Clara University and a BS in Soil Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Steve have completed several community and industry-based leadership programs. When not working or volunteering, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife (Danielle), daughter (Molly) and son (Patrick). Steve enjoys, traveling, hiking, and gardening.
